More Evening Drives
We have been wasting so much gas lately, going for drives nearly every evening. I took the first picture because it was so odd, there are hills all over the place, but this was actually right before a steep decline down the hill. The raccoons ran across the road in front of us, then climbed the tree. The third pic had 6 or 7 deer, all standing so still and watching us. Their ears were glowing in the sun. The last one is of a super happy pig. It lives in this field with 2 cows. Buffy was thrilled to see it.

End of Summer Yard
It's been extremely hot and dry. There was a 20 percent chance of rain today, the air felt cooler and dry; I pulled out the clothesline and hung a bunch of sheets out. It's been raining for three and a half hours now. The flowers are on their way out, the autumn sedum is anxious to bloom. The grapes are getting bigger.

Buffy's Second Birthday
She was born on Ken's last day in the hospital two years ago. Still crazy, but a more mellowed version. We took her swimming, then back home for cake, ice cream, and gifts.
