Forgive Me, But I Have To Say It

Really, is the Easter Sunrise Service the best time to debut a ventriloquist dummy, even if he is thought provoking?  Maybe they have a large amount of children attending, but those dolls always give me the creeps.

On the 11th Day of Spring

Such sweet guys I have--they brought this back for me yesterday after doing the grocery shopping.
No Coat Needed!
See that snow wall? That's from the first big snow at Christmas, when the good neighbor plowed for us. It's never melted, and is basically a long block of hard ice.

Haven't seen the driveway in a lonnggggg time.

Of course, this now means muddy dog feet and a good wipe down every time he comes back indoors.

First they went to Hornell to play tennis, then came back and washed the cars.

On the Seventh Day of Spring

Unidentified Object Seen Multiple Times In the Sky Today

Fairly boring photo, until you notice the BLUE sky and the shadows. Shadows in the SUNSHINE. There is also that glorious dripping sound heard when you step out the door...please don't let it be a fluke.

Sunday Link and Think

This is one of the best explanations about the US disability program I've heard, in a way that informs intelligently without the name calling, cheap shots, and general insane ignorant rantings that permeate the "news".

Did you have to read Things Fall Apart back in high school? W and I read it a couple years ago. So sad, but it's one that stays in your mind forever.  The book was written in the 50's, and I had no idea the author was still living, until I saw his recent obituary.

I found this man's pottery blog from another blog I dearly love. He lives in Ithaca, and sells his stuff on Etsy. He seems like the kind of guy you'd love to have for a neighbor.

Lucky Deer

Photo-Bombing Nose

We took a short trip yesterday to do some visiting.  We saw so many deer and turkeys- taking naps in a sunny spot in the snow, munching on who knows what, and just standing around chatting. It's nice to know that even after enduring months  of fear , some were able to make it through the "hunting" season.
