Odd
We drove to Hornell today for groceries. We were bundled up in our coats; the snow is still deep, but mushy. As soon as we reached the main highway at the foot of the hill, the snow disappeared. Totally. The trees are in full bloom, the grass is green, the roads and fields are dry. It was so much warmer--there were people wearing shorts! The river and creeks have a lot of rushing water, though. That was the only sign that I could see of the storm. There's a dairy farm that we pass, and their driveway and cow field is always muddy after a rain; even this place was dry. Drive home---our snow is still the same, even though the sun is out. I let Rusty out the back door, and it was too cold for me to stand outside and wait for him. Weird.
