Friday at Stoneybrook

Finding an out of the way place where he can wade

We spent the afternoon at the park. We stopped in Arkport on the way to check out their village wide yard sales. I found an old, metal milk bottle box for only $5. It's got the name of a dairy in Hornell (in raised lettering) on the lid. Ken said everyone used to have them on their porches when he was little.
The guys played tennis while I walked Rusty, then we had a picnic, and then took a long walk along the river. Number of games played? One. It was hot. Number of sandwiches eaten? Three, minus what the dog begged. Number of photos taken? A couple dozen; hey, I'm not Sharon...Number of gnats swatted? Hundreds, they were everywhere. Number of trees peed on? Every single one. Each way.
These look like the plants we had in the tiny side- of- house pond in Brenham

They were probably talking about Physics
See them at the top?

  1. Horsetails! I found this on wikipedia..."It has been suggested that the pattern of spacing of nodes in horsetails, wherein those toward the apex of the shoot are increasingly close together, inspired John Napier to discover logarithms." Maybe they were discussing math instead of physics.
And I only took 892 photos on the whole trip!
